This shortened, condensed childbirth class teaches expectant parents about labor, birth, medical interventions, medical pain relief, and cesarean birth. We will not cover Natural Comfort Measures, New Procedures, or Postpartum Recovery. However, this information will be provided in your Understanding Birth book and web app. The class is taught by a registered nurse, perinatal patient educator using Microsoft Teams. Understanding Birth Express is recommended for families wanting labor and medical intervention information only, including expectant parents who want a refresher on information following a prior birth.
When registering please use the pregnant parents' name. Payment does cover 2 seats in this class, one for the pregnant parent and one for the partner/guest. After your registration is completed you will receive a Team meeting invitation that will arrive to your email mailbox the day before or day of your class start date. Please check your spam and trash mailboxes. The educational material will be mailed to the address listed in your registration.
